In 2018, Flags for Fort Snelling raised enough funds to purchase 200,000 disposable flags. Tens of thousands of flags are lost to damage each year simply because these flags were not meant for this sort of long-term use.

For 2020, we have started the fundraising effort for a new sustainable flag staff- The Legacy Flag. This new retractable plastic flag staff will be substantially more durable and is designed to contain the flag within an outer shell for protection. These flags will last decades for incredible cost and environmental savings!
